Peter Shaffer's play staged by Géza Hegedűs D. will be premiered at the Pesti Theatre on 25 November 2023.
In Shaffer's piece, we see an extraordinarily successful creator who respects artistic traditions confronting the innovative genius. For Salieri, the mere existence of the young Mozart is already a provocation. The performance talks wittily about talent, success, and the great weaknesses inherent in genius.
