Janka Kopek was born in Budapest. She went to the Austrian High School and in 2014 she graduated as an actor from the University of Kaposvár. She did her practice at Vígszínház, since 2014 she is a member of the theatre. In 2012 she was a participant of the Robert Wilson Summer Program in Watermill, New York. She works in several international projects, her solo performance ‘Highest Common Multiple’ debuted at Theatre Stuttgart. Besides her stage work, she is also known from TV Series and short films, and she was starring the successful feature films Kölcsönlakás and Gondolj rám. She works as a presenter and as the international manager of the theatre too.
In Vígszínház she showed her talent in very different kind of roles, portraying characters with different ages and backgrounds: In Máglya she plays the Grandmother, the classmate Krisztina, the boyfriend Péter, the Teacher, the old male coach Uncle Pali and in some scenes also the protagonist, Emma. She seduced as Hélène in War and Peace, played a rebellious teenaged girl in Rendezés, is a Reporter in The Visit, the young daughter Lujza in Képzelt beteg and Commander Ross in Richard II.
