Géza Hegedűs D.
Géza Hegedűs D. was born in Ibrány. Since 1975, his graduation from the University of Theatre and Film Budapest, he is a member of Vígszínház. He teaches at the University of Theatre and Film Budapest since 1987. In 1992 he completed the faculty of stage directing too and directs performances from year to year since. He is one of the most successful actors of his generation, he played in almost 40 films and TV plays and is a very popular voice actor too. He got the Jászai Mari Prize in 1980, The Virtuous Artist Prize in 1989. He won the Hegedűs Gyula Memory Ring of Vígszínház in 1982 and won the Ajtay Andor Memory Prize three times (1993, 1998, 2001). In 2006 he got the Harsányi Zsolt Memory Prize. In 2007 he got the Outstanding Artist Prize and the Eternal Fellowship Award. His outstanding work was recognized with Gundel Artist Prize and Roboz Imre Artist Memory Prize. In 2009 he was awarded with the Kossuth Prize.
