Kata Wéber
Pieces of a Woman

Director: Róbert Alföldi

rebirth in one part

Kornél Mundruczó's highly successful film "Pieces of a Woman" was based on Kata Wéber's drama, which is being performed in a Hungarian theater for the first time. The protagonist of this disturbing story, Maya, has to face a painful loss - however, during processing and acceptance, many things in her life are called into question: she has to fight with her family's expectations, social conventions, and rebuild her most important human relationships in order to move on. The road to a new beginning leads along pain, anger, love and disappointments.
