Attila ifj. Vidnyánszky

Attila Vidnyánszky Jr., the Beregszász born actor and director got his actor diploma in 2015 at the University of Theatre and Film Budapest in the class of László Marton, Géza Hegedűs D. and Péter Forgács. In the same year he was awarded with The most promising young actor Prize by the critics. With his crushing talent he won the attention both of the audience and the professionals already as a student. He did his practice at National Theatre and at Vígszínház, meanwhile more of his performances staged by him premiered at Ódry Stage. In 2014 he got the Gundel Artist Prize, in 2016 he got the Junior Príma Prize. After his graduation he worked as a freelance artist, besides his roles he also directed plays at Latinovits Theatre Budaörs, Radnóti Theatre and Csokonai Theatre Debrecen. The performances directed by him were on the repertoire at Castel Theatre Gyula and at the National Theatre. He is one of the founders of Sztalker Group.

Since 2017 he is the member of Vígszínház. He directed several performances in a unique form of expression and thinking, such as: The One Who Has Nobody Under Blue Skies, The Idiot, Liliom, The Great Gatsby or Children of Paradise.

As an actor, his special presence on stage fascinates the audience every time, let it be a dramatic or a comical role. Not only is he authentic on the big stages of Víg­szín­ház and Pesti Theatre, but also at smaller venues like Stú­dió K Theatre, where he plays the title role of Nero. His enormous talent could be recognized already in the performances at the University, during The Nut-Cracker, Hamlet or Three Sisters Exercise. In 2014 he played with his class the performance Twelfth Night at Pesti Theatre, then he continued playing important roles at National Theatre in plays like The Lower Depths, Merry-Go-Round or Drunks. Since 2017 he is a member of Vígszínház both as a director and as an actor playing roles like: Hamlet; the title roles of The Great Dictator and Mickey, the Magnete; Christy Mahon in Playboy of the Western World or Hen­rik Bo­ling­broke in Ri­chard II.

Besides his theatre works, he also played in several films and series, like Ve­szet­tek, Arany­élet and Ván­dor­szí­né­szek.
