Zoltán Seress studied at the University of Theatre and Film Budapest between 1983–1987 in the class of László Marton. From 1987 until 1993 he was playing in Vígszínház. Between 1993 and 1995 he was a member of Art Theatre and Thalia Theatre. In the season 1995/96 he worked at the National Theatre Miskolc. Then from 1996–1998 he was an actor at Thalia Company and Móricz Zsigmond Theatre Nyíregyháza. From 1998-2000 he worked at the National Theatre Szeged, from 2000 to 2003 in Szigligeti Theatre Szolnok. Between 2003-2007 he was a member of Bárka Theatre, from 2008 until 2014 – the closing of the theatre – he was its general director. In 2016 he became the member of Vígszínház again.
